December 2025

Thank you so much for your support of our Helping Hands Food Drive (we delivered 1,725 items to Woodinville Storehouse Food Bank) and the WHS Little Hugs Stuffed Animal Drive put on by WHS DECA students. In continuing the spirit of generosity and caring, Nurse Ellen’s Giving Tree is up and in the main office. Be sure to grab a tag if you’re able to participate and help make a family’s holiday brighter!

We have just three weeks of school until Winter Break. If you need to keep your kids occupied over break, have them try Math Challenge or consider having them prepare an act for the Talent Show which will be held in January. Students will need to ‘audition’ to ensure that the act is appropriate, but anything goes (read a poem! Lip sync! Play an instrument! Tell jokes!).

We are also in need of a lead for our STEM Fair in March—it seems like a ways away, but exciting vendors like Imagine Children’s Museum and the Air & Space Museum book early! Please reach out to bridget@wellingtonpta.org if you are interested; this is a great event for families and students but we can’t do it on our own! Please let us know as soon as possible so we do not have to cancel this popular event.

And yes, we are still searching for a Chair/Lead for our monthly Helping Hands service club, a co-lead for Maker’s Space, as well as an Art Docent for Mrs. Kehler’s class. Please check out this SignUp Genius if you are interested, follow along on our Facebook or Instagram pages with the latest updates, and keep reading for this month’s happenings:

Some Important Emergency Reminders:
If you are volunteering at school and a drill or a true emergency occurs, please remain with your class until you are directed to exit the building. Once outside, all volunteers should check in with Ms. Beavo in the Courtyard (specifically by the table near the Publishing Room). Ms. Beavo will then take attendance so we can also account for all adults at school. If you arrive to school while a drill is happening, please proceed straight to the Courtyard to check in. Please remember to return your Emergency Comfort Kits to school if you haven't already done so.

Spirit Wear:
Check out our new Spirit Wear designs for this year (designed by a Wellington parent). Spirit Wear is on sale here, and proceeds from sales go back to PTA to support our school grants, programs and events! Donate previously loved Spirit Wear to the PTA; we'll have another free Spirit Wear Swap at an event in the coming year. Donation bin is in the main office.

Sponsors:
We love sponsors! If your business is interested in sponsoring the PTA, please contact mandy@wellingtonpta.org or fill out the PTA Sponsorship form.

Matching Donations:
Does your company match donations? Search for Wellington Elementary PTA (tax ID #91-1061631) to take advantage of this benefit if offered through your employer.

Mabel’s Labels:
Tired of rummaging through the Lost & Found? Label all of the things with personalized labels from Mabel’s Labels. Wellington will earn 20% of the proceeds.

Box Tops4 Education:
Yep, Box Tops still exist but they’ve gone digital! Download the free app on your phone, submit receipts, and Wellington PTA will earn money for applicable items. Hint, school & office supplies count too!
